Woof, by Aparna Karthikeyan, is the story of a pack of street dogs on some Mumbai beach for young adults. These dogs who have been on the beach all their lives find a new pup abandoned in their midst. They name her Shingmo and she is assigned a mentor to get her used to the life of a street dog.

The book sensitively handles the struggles of a street dog, loyalty and abandonment, and highlights the generosity of the people who feed and care for them.
