About Me
I am Thejaswi Puthraya, the owner of this website and a freelance software developer. I was born in Hyderabad, the city of pearls and the capital of Telangana, India. Ever since I have been living in this city famous for Irani Chai and the Chalta Hai attitude.
My schooling at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School can so far be described as the best stage of my life. It was here that I made good friends and learnt about computers - an integral part of my life.
After a frustrating two years, I made it through to Vasavi College of Engineering, one of the oldest private colleges of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Here I got the right mix of study and fun. Towards the end of my first year, I was introduced to the Indian Linux Users Group (ILUG), Hyderabad. This group left a deep impression and here I learnt about free software and the wonderful GNU/Linux operating system.
Soon I fell in love with Django, a Python web framework and got an opportunity to contribute through the Google Summer of Code, 2007. I worked on the Django-Check-Constraints project and successfully completed it. In the year 2008, I got one more opportunity to contribute to this fabulous community through "Refactoring the comments framework" (based on Jacob Kaplan-Moss' code). The code got integrated into trunk.
I mostly develop web and mobile apps at work and leverage free and open-source software.
