The Blowback

Impressed by Mukul Deva's earlier books (Salim Must Die and Lashkar), I picked this book. After the death of Salim, Iqbal is on the way back to India but injured in a skirmish. After a long recovery, he slips through to India to be assigned onto a new operation. The ISI has changed tactics and is now waging a new type of war, one from within. Iqbal's task is to infiltrate the group and pass on as much information as possible.

Though the book is well edited and the story line is tight, it feels like the author has written this book with his eyes set on movie rights because some sequences are formulaic.
