Man and Boy

When was the last time 'a' book moistened your eyes and brought a smile that stretched from ear to ear? "Man and Boy" by Tony Parsons is definitely one such book.

A man grows up to become a father and take charge of his son. In the process, he draws parallels with his childhood and how he underestimated his wife's sacrifices in bringing up their son.

He loses the love of his life to find another but only to lose it again. At one point, he loses everything worth living but perseveres in the hope that his son will look up to him someday.

This is a poignant story but the author spoilt it partly with the ending.
