About Me
I am Thejaswi Puthraya, the owner of this website.
I was born in Hyderabad, the city
of pearls and the capital of Andhra
Pradesh. Ever since I have been living in this city famous for
My life at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Public School can so far be described as the best stage of my life. It was here that I learnt about life, made good friends and learnt about computers, which have become an integral part of my life.
I wouldn't like to talk about my pre-undergrad years after school because I had a hellish time here.
After struggling for two years I saw hope once again, I made it through to Vasavi College of Engineering, one of the oldest private colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Here I got the right mix of study and fun. As a fresher, I had to go through the phase of rag*ing which was fun. Towards the end of the year, I was introduced to the Indian Linux Users Group (ILUG), Hyderabad. This group has left a deep impression in my life. I learnt about free software and the wonderful GNU/Linux operating system here.
I kept exploring this beautiful world and soon fell in love with Django, a Pythonic web framework. I got an opportunity to contribute to the Django Community thanks to Google Summer of Code, 2007. I worked on the Django-Check-Constraints Project and successfully completed it. In the year 2008, I got one more opportunity to contribute to this fabulous community through the Refactoring the comments framework (which was based on Jacob Kaplan-Moss' code). The code got integrated into trunk.
Python is my primary programming language and I love using it for almost every computing task. I do use C and C++ but sparingly (I guess every Python lover does so). While not working on my computer, I play Table Tennis or keep abreast with the latest happenings on the Formula 1 track.
I worked with Citigroup from June 2008 - September 2009, as a "Financial Analyst".
I work with Peoplelex starting from Decemeber 2009, as a "Web developer".
